COVID-19: Basic Tecniques To Stop The Growth Of Infection & Prevention Methods.

Humans are the most intelligent and arrogant ruler on this earth and today we are at the peak of our civilization but unfortunately we are leaving like cowards at our homes for our own faults. The whole world is now governed by a tinny terror which even can’t be recognised in naked eyes. Yes, I am going to tell you the story of Novel Corona Virus, a microscopic fellow that put a question of our mightiness. It starts from Wuhan City, China, in December 2019 and now in just four months they are ruling upon the human civilization.
But still we have plenty of option to beat it with some basic & fundamental techniques, which were practiced by our ancestors. So let’s start learning.

Symptoms:

The disease is very new for us and initially we were depended on the Chain based data but as it spouted like a global killer now many more things are coming out. But as it is a Virus so in most of the cases it follows the normal pathway while manifestation of symptoms but all cases are not same and if few cases there may be absence of few bellow listed symptoms.
  • Running Nose.
  • Sneezing.
  • Burning in Eyes.
  • Burning Sensation.
  • Body aches.
  • Chill & Rigor.
  • Fatigue.
  • Diarrhoea.
  • Vomiting.
We generally considered the travel history as a priority finding while testing for COVID-19. But when it enters in the community transmission then this things are almost useless as because the source of infections most of the times becomes untouchable.

Fatal Signs:

  • Pneumonia (Which can lead to Sepsis).
  • High fever (Can lead to neurological problems).
  • Dehydration (occurs due to excessive vomiting and diarrhoea).
  • Electrolyte imbalance (develops due to excessive vomiting, diarrhoea inability to take proper diet).
  • Decreased Urination (Due to Renal Failure)

What we can do?

As we all know that we are fighting with an enemy without ammunitions. We don’t have drugs of choice to treat, we don’t have immunization to protect ourselves, and we even don’t know how we are getting infected. So in such circumstance we have to be more careful while dealing with our day to day activities. Our civilizations have witnessed many such out breaks in past and every time we came out as winner. As no battle can be victorious without sacrifice and strategies, here also a similar thing is going to happen. We will be victorious but we need to stop the killer chariot of Corona Virus. So when you don’t have ammunitions to fight than it is better to defend and the victory lies there. Let’s know about the strategies.

Preventive Measures:

  • Many of us don’t know that our Indian Science of medicine or so called Ayurveda mentioned about such communicable diseases thousands of years back. We might have heard about different killer diseases from our grandpas but our ancestors defended those things with their limited sources and observations. All those observations are still similar and quite practical till today.
  • Acharya Sushruta, the father of surgery told thousands of years ago that there are few diseases, which spread with touch, with breathing, by sharing of garment, by sharing of bed, Shoes, spreads with sneezing, coughing and simply saying just due to close contact.
  • Accordingly many precautions were also described by him in his world famous compilation the “Sushruta Samhita” which are still worthy and followed as standard infection control protocol.
  • His sayings may be thousands years old but in case like CoVid-19 or other contagious diseases, these are like the copy write text book guidelines for the prevention methods. According to the flow of time, new diseases appearing on every new days but basic fundamental approach towards the prevention of contagious diseases are still same. So they are

Stay At Home:

  • It is better to stay at home, if you are feeling something abnormal like, feverish, headache, running nose, burning sensations etc. You may not be a infected person if there is no active COVID-19 cases in your area or you don’t have any travel history. But if you are suffering from respiratory infection you have greater chance to be victimised.
  • Again when you are fit but you are staying in an area having infected people around you then you may be an easy victim. Because the people who are suffering from such disease actually turns to deadly carrier of these viruses even before they develops any symptoms.
  • But the most important point in this regards is if you are Infected or a suspected case or you are in isolation or in home quarantined then you can spread the infection knowingly or unknowingly to your family members, to your society and to your fellow workers. So not for yourself but for the sake of  the nation please stay at home.

Wash Your Hand & Face Frequently:

  • Generally viruses can survive only few minutes to few hours out-side the human body but Cornona Virus is a different breed. In COVID-19 viruses can stay alive for more than 24 hrs in the different surfaces. It is a technical point that everyone should remember. This virus first comes in contact with our hands as because we use our hand for doing almost everything. So whenever you go to the outside try to wash your hands frequently.
  • Use fresh water along with soap or alcohol based Germicidal hand sanitizers for this purpose. It will reduce the chances of getting the viruses in your body. It is easiest and simple way to protect you and your family from many more contagious diseases.

Use a Mask:

  • CoVid-19 spreads easily with the breathing air and thus it becomes more dangerous to contaminate more and more people. Using masks (N-95) specially made for preventing N1H1 viruses are a major weapon to fight against Corona Virus.  If you are sick then put the mask and play a major role in preventing the transmission or spread of this virus. The most important thing is that by doing this you can save thousands of life. Using a mask in the outdoor is also a very good habit as it helps us in maintaining good respiratory hygiene.
  • But most important thing is that don’t use same mask day after day and this habit could be more harmful. You should use a disposable mask or a washable mask and washing is compulsory after every use.

Avoid Heavily Crowed Public Transports:

• Transport system is the backbone of the modern civilization but sometimes it became the most suitable media to spread the deadly diseases. Covud-19 can spread through breathing air, touch, sneezing, body fluids, sharing seats and many more these sharing options make it more venerable. So always, try to avoid highly crowded trains, buses, market places, theatres, public gatherings etc. Remember that avoiding crowd reduces the chances of getting Covid-19 by a huge margin.
  • The lockdown theory is based on this aspect the spread of diseases can be minimised by it.
  • Always remember Government’s call for lockdown cannot save you from getting infection but you can do it by staying at home.

Eat easily digestible foods & plenty of fluids:

  • However, it will not protect you from Corona Virus but it will help to survive in difficulties. For an example if you are suffering from CoVid-19 or any other flu then consume easily digestible food. During such period, it is extremely necessary to take care of your gut. Most of the cases vomiting or diarrhoea is a common issue so fluid consume should be educate for maintaining body electrolyte balance.
  • One for thing to remember is that even a fit and no infected person may develop unwanted situation due to junk foods which may need hospitalization and hospitals are always a good source of infection.
So, finally the conclusion & strategies are very simple,
  • “Be More Social in Social Networks with good information and Complete Unsocial in Real Life”
  • Make you protected by using mask & by maintain hand washing Protocol.
  • Avoid all unnecessary outdoor works and do it from home.
  • Eat healthy and try to maintain good healthy life style.
  • Lastly use all your common sense to keep you and your society protected.

Time To Fight and To Save Our Civilization.
